This is a sad post. Brace yourself.
My sister Angie's house burned down. You might've already heard about it from my Twitter. She was still in it, asleep - but the doorbell went off at some point, so she had time to get out. Her dogs made it out safely, but her cat died from the smoke. His name was Merlyn, and he was freakin' cute. Poor wizardcat.
Anyway - Angie and her daughter lost pretty much everything they owned. She didn't have time to save anything, and she didn't have renter's insurance (maybe some of you will suddenly decide to get some now), so everything is gone.
If you'd like to help, you can donate below. Any amount would rock. A dollar. Seriously.
***Update. I just put this Chip-In widget in here, it connects to the PayPal, but this way people can see how many donations happened. We got around $240 donations so far, so the $0 is a lie!
I'll mention everyone that donates in a later post.
If you'd like to read more about the fire, you'll find the news story HERE!
Whatever you do - do NOT donate to the person that that news story says to donate to. All the stuff the article talks about her receiving, that guy never gave to her. Not only that - he asked for her unburned stuff 'to sell' to raise money (she had to leave the state - the housefire was actually started by someone, and we think we know who it is... but there wasn't any evidence. Except for a text that said "I'm gonna kill you." But that's circumstantial. Really? Really.)
Anyway, instead of selling her stuff to raise money, he 'donated it to a charity.' What? Instead of just, giving it back to her to sell? Ugh.
Also, look how cute she is! Even post-destruction. Aaw :)

Thanks!
